These are the sections of sytematic theology. Theology Proper or Paterology is the study of God the Father. Christology is the study of God the Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Pneumatology is the study of God the Holy Spirit. Bibliology is the study of the Bible. Soteriology is the study of salvation. Ecclesiology is the study of the church. Eschatology is the study of the end times. Angelology is the study of angels. Christian Demonology is the study of demons from a Christian perspective. Christian Anthropology is the study of humanity. Hamartiology is the study of sin. Systematic theology is an important tool in helping us to understand and teach the Bible in an organized manner. So when we approach a text it might serve us to find out what branch of systematic theology is the text dealing with.
The gospel of John is divided into two books, book one is the book of signs (John 1- 12) and book two is the book of glory (John 13 – 20) . In the book of signs John uses 7 miracles to reveal the deity of Jesus Christ. The other gospels show many more signs and wonders but in John there are only 7. Each sign redeems the 7 dispensations of man and the kingdom. We must believe God for miracles. Our God is a God of miracles. In this season believe God for miracles. Tomorrow we go into the book of glory and close with epilogue of John, the eulogy to Peter (John 21)
